Setup & honest limitations
Your computer must be on the same network as the Roku.
On the Roku: Settings > System > Advanced system settings >
Control by mobile apps must not be Disabled.
Commands are one-way: browsers deliver the button press but
block this page from reading the Roku's replies, so there's no on-page
confirmation — watch the TV.
Keyboard shortcuts: arrow keys, Enter = OK, Backspace = Back.
Tested in Chrome, Edge, and Firefox as a local file. Safari is stricter
about local files and may not send the requests.
This page makes no requests except to the IP you enter.
The full project — device discovery, serial-number tracking across
DHCP changes, and a nicer remote — runs as a small self-hosted app.
